Oorlogsmuseum Middelstum

The Middelstum War Museum is a privately-run, small-scale museum. Ties Groenewold, its curator, has been gathering wartime artifacts since 2009. His collection primarily centers around the local history of the war. Inside the museum, you'll encounter predominantly German wartime items, but it also delves into the Dutch military, the Allied forces, civilian life, and the political aspects of the era. Among the standout pieces in the collection are the unique Delft blue ashtrays and wall plates from the German anti-aircraft units in Groningen and Friesland.
