The "Light of the Sea" (‘Licht der Zee’) monument in Delfzijl, comprises three distinct components: five stones, a menorah, and a wall displaying names. The largest of these five stones serves as the pedestal for the menorah. The names of all 126 Jewish residents who tragically lost their lives in the former municipality of Delfzijl during the Holocaust are inscribed on the name wall. This design concept visually connects the name wall to the menorah, symbolically extending its significance as an integral part of this memorial.
The monument is located in front of the former synagogue in Delfzijl, situated at Singel 50.
