Baarle-Nassau is a village located 17.5 kilometers southwest of Tilburg and 22.5 kilometers southeast of Breda.
The Roman Catholic Cemetery of Baarle-Nassau partially encircles the post-war reconstructed Roman Catholic Church.
Two Dutch resistance fighters are buried in a common grave. These men were Adrianus van Gestel and Gradus Gerritsen, both military police officers and resistance fighters. These resistance fighters, along with the Belgian resistance woman Maria Verhoeven, were executed together on the Galderse Heide in Breda. They were involved in resistance activities and assisting Allied personnel in hiding. The cemetery also includes the grave of soldier Wilhelmus Petrus Jacobs, who died in Rotterdam on May 14, 1940.
Located at the rear of the church are the resting places of six soldiers who lost their lives during the battles in October 1944. The cemetery is also the final resting place of one British pilot who also passed away in October 1944.
