Polderhuis Dijk- en Oorlogsmuseum, Westkapelle

The Polderhuis Westkapelle Dijk and War Museum is located in an old building of the water board. In the permanent exhibition, the visitor is taken through the history of Westkapelle and Walcheren. The history is told through interactive media, stories, photos, and other objects. For many years, dike workers were very important to Westkapelle. The common thread in the museum is, therefore, the dike. The museum also pays attention to World War II with the bombings on the dikes in Walcheren, the inundation, the closure of the dike, and the reconstruction of the village.
