Algemene Begraafplaats Moscowa, Arnhem

Moscowa is a cemetery and crematorium located in the Dutch city of Arnhem. The name is derived from the farm "Moskowa" (with a "k") which is located right next to the cemetery. Initially, the grounds were eight hectares in size but were expanded several times to the current thirty hectares. Between forty and fifty thousand people have been buried here, in approximately twenty thousand graves.

The cemetery is positioned north of Arnhem along Apeldoornseweg. If you're traveling on motorway A50, take the Waterberg junction exit, and follow the signs leading to Arnhem along Apeldoornseweg. After passing the first intersection, you'll spot the cemetery on your right. Take the second right onto Waterbergseweg, and you'll find the cemetery and crematorium entrance on the right-hand side.

This cemetery is situated atop one of the hills overlooking Arnhem. It spans across many acres, with dense tree cover, and is adjacent to the Jewish cemetery. The Commonwealth graves are located within the 1934 plot, situated along the primary east-west path in the northern part of the cemetery.
