Museum Bronbeek, Arnhem

Museum Bronbeek sheds light on the colonial history of the Netherlands. It focuses on the government's influence on colonial society and the actions of the Royal Dutch East Indies Army (KNIL). In addition to the permanent exhibition "The Story of the Dutch East Indies," the museum hosts various rotating exhibitions. The emphasis is on World War II and decolonization. In addition to the consequences for the Dutch East Indies community, the military actions of the Dutch colonial authorities are also addressed.

Please note: the permanent exhibition at Museum Bronbeek is currently closed. The reopening of the permanent exhibition is scheduled for sometime in 2024. Until then, planned modifications are being made to the museum building, and work is underway to create a new permanent exhibition.
