Canadese Begraafplaats, Holten

The Canadian Cemetery in Holten contains nearly 1,400 graves of fallen soldiers from the Second World War. Soldiers who paid the highest price for our freedom. Through the "Give Every Stone a Story" project, the Information Centre Canadian Cemetery in Holten, in collaboration with Memory Museum Nijverdal, offers secondary schools the opportunity to introduce students to the personal stories of our liberators. During this project, students will create a biography of a fallen Canadian soldier using their service records. These service records are located in various Canadian archives and will be made digitally available to the schools. After completing the project, the biographies will be added to the Information Centre.
