Youth Without Youth (2007)

In 1937, 70-year-old professor Dominic Matei contemplates suicide after losing his love and his life's work. Struck by lightning in 1938, he miraculously becomes younger and gains superhuman powers. With WWII unfolding, he flees Romania, pursued by Nazi scientists. Later, he meets a woman with lightning-induced abilities that hold the key to his research. Coppola's adaptation of Eliade's novella is a mysterious, romantic, and surreal journey that blurs reality and dreams.
