Sundown (1941)

In Africa, as World War Two unfolds, the Germans attempt to incite local tribes to revolt against British colonial rule. Captain Bill Crawford (Bruce Cabot), a local commissioner, and Major Coombes (George Sanders) uncover a German conspiracy to supply weapons to the native population. Zia (Gene Tierney), the adopted daughter of Pallain (Joseph Calleia), who oversees trading caravans and outposts, decides to assist the British. She infiltrates the ranks of Kuypens (Carl Esmond), the local Nazi leader, in order to gather intelligence about his schemes.
