In the midst of the Third Reich's horrors, a young Jewish girl finds herself on a harrowing journey to escape after witnessing the brutal loss of her parents and sister while attempting to reach safety in England. She seeks refuge with an old friend, whose unconventional identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community soon draws the attention of the relentless Gestapo.

Betrayed by a callous smuggler who callously allowed her family to fall victim to the SS, the terrified girl, Sara, flees into the protective embrace of her childhood friend Jean and his devoted partner Philippe. Under Jean's quick-witted plan, she assumes the identity of a French employee at his family's laundry business, offering a temporary sanctuary.

However, Sara's respite is tinged with anguish as her courageous gay protector becomes ensnared in a Nazi labor camp, a tragic consequence of a fateful decision made by Jean's troubled brother, Jacques. Their intertwined stories unveil the harsh realities of this turbulent era.
