Land of Mine (2015)

In post-World War II Denmark, the Danish government assigns the unenviable task of clearing 1.5 million landmines from the western beaches to their captured German soldiers. On one of these beaches, Sgt. Carl Leopold Rasmussen is entrusted with the responsibility of leading a labor unit, comprised mostly of inexperienced boys. As these young individuals grapple with the perilous work ahead, Sgt. Rasmussen's initial animosity towards the Germans begins to thaw. He comes to realize the dire circumstances these child soldiers find themselves in, even as the treacherous mines continue to claim more victims.
