In Warsaw, Dr. Henryk Goldszmit, known as Janusz Korczak, passionately oversees an orphanage, caring deeply for the children under his charge. As the German army invades Poland, the orphanage relocates to the Warsaw ghetto, where Dr. Korczak continues to provide for 200 children.

Facing the challenges of wartime, Dr. Korczak reaches out to affluent Jewish individuals, seeking their support in the form of food and funds. However, when the day arrives for the ghetto's forced displacement to Treblinka by train, Dr. Korczak makes a poignant and unwavering choice. He declines a Swiss passport and chooses to board the train with his beloved children, embodying his dedication and love to the very end.
