Attack and Retreat (1964)

The film tells about the soldiers of the Italian expeditionary forces who fought in World War II with the USSR on the side of Nazi Germany. Soldiers and officers of the Italian divisions went to the East, to Moscow. Every move cost the occupiers dearly. In this campaign, a young soldier, the peasant Badzocchi, perishes. On the Don, the Italians go on the defensive. The Germans are throwing them off the road, crushing the frostbitten, wounded "allies" under the wheels.
