As a B-24 bombardier in World War II, his plane crashed into the Pacific, and he miraculously survived 47 days drifting on a raft. Captured by the Japanese, he endured torture as a POW for over two years. After his release, a spiritual transformation reshaped his life for the better.
Co-written with David Rensin, "Don't Give Up, Don't Give In" serves as a final testament to Zamperini's rich life. The son of Italian immigrants, Zamperini was an Olympic runner, WWII veteran, and founder of the Victory Boys Camp for at-risk youth.
