Rotation (1949)

The mechanic Behnke initially considers joining the Nazi party to improve his prospects for a comfortable life. However, a significant shift occurs when he witnesses the removal of his Jewish neighbors. This experience prompts him to reassess his beliefs. In an attempt to remain apolitical, he withdraws from the harsh realities of the situation and reluctantly takes on a role as a laborer for the Nazis. This complex character journey explores the moral and personal dilemmas faced by individuals during a tumultuous period in history.
