Paradise Road (1997)

Following the Japanese occupation of Singapore in 1942, a diverse group of women and children finds themselves in a prison camp. Despite their varying ages, nationalities, and backgrounds, they form a deep bond as they confront the scarcity of food and medicine, as well as the brutal treatment by their captors. In a remarkable display of resilience, they even come together to organize a vocal orchestra, meticulously reconstructing musical scores from memory.
