Just days before D-Day in June 1944, Major Jefferson Pike is abducted by the Nazis while in Lisbon and transported to Germany. In an elaborate scheme, they construct a façade to deceive him, convincing him that it is the year 1950 and that the war has long concluded. They create an American hospital replica, fully staffed with English-speaking personnel, and inform Pike that he has been grappling with recurring memory lapses since the war's supposed conclusion. Their true aim is to extract critical information about the Allies' impending assault on Fortress Europe: the Pas de Calais or Normandy?
Initially, Pike falls prey to their deception and unwittingly divulges details about the Normandy invasion. As he gradually comprehends the gravity of the situation, he not only must convince them that his initial disclosure was false but also devise an escape plan to regain his freedom.
